Dr. Charitou holds full specialist registration with both the Cyprus Medical Association and the UK General Medical Council. She is an active member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Fertility Society, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG).
Her advanced training encompasses subfertility and reproductive medicine, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, and the management of complex obstetric cases, including advanced labour ward care. She previously led the Recurrent Miscarriage Service at Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic, the world’s first IVF clinic and now one of the most prestigious fertility centres internationally.
Dr. Charitou has worked in several leading hospitals across the UK, gaining extensive experience in managing complex gynaecological and obstetric conditions. She is a published author and has presented her research at international medical conferences, contributing to ongoing advancements in women’s health.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Charitou completed a competitive leadership fellowship at King’s College Business School, funded by Health Education England, further strengthening her leadership and healthcare management skills.
