Graduated from the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and complete his doctoral dissertation. He completed further training at hospitals in England and Germany.
For many years, he served as Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at Nicosia General Hospital, bringing with him extensive clinical and surgical experience, with a particular focus on trauma and oncology of the oral cavity, the neck, and the salivary glands. The clinic was certified under ISO 9001:2015 and BSEN 15224: 2016 in August 2023 for the provision of preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative rehabilitation and follow-up services for patients with conditions affecting the oral cavity, the maxillofacial region, and the neck.
He assumed the position of Medical Director of the Cyprus State Services Organization (OKYPY) in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, assuming administrative responsibilities and coordinating the operations of all public hospitals in Cyprus through 2025.
Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the European University of Cyprus, where he has been actively involved in teaching medical and dental students since 2011. He has served or currently serves as president or member of the boards of scientific, volunteer, and sports organizations. He has served as president or member of the organizing committee for numerous local and international scientific conferences.
He has given presentations and lectures at more than 200 local and international conferences and has published articles in Greek and international journals. He has authored and co-authored two books.
