Η Δρ Ελένη Πουργούρη σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Semmelweis University της Βουδαπέστης και ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητά της στη Γενική Χειρουργική στη Γερμανία, στο St. Johannes-Hospital Dortmund, όπου εργάστηκε σε κλινική που αποτελούσε κέντρο χειρουργικής παχέος εντέρου, βαριατρικής και λαπαροσκοπικής χειρουργικής, ενώ παράλληλα υπηρέτησε και στη Χειρουργική ΜΕΘ.
Her main surgical interests include bariatric and colorectal surgery, as well as the full spectrum of routine general surgical procedures, such as gallbladder surgery, hernia repairs, pilonidal sinus surgery, appendectomies, and proctologic operations. In addition, she performs hiatal hernia repairs, thyroid surgery, and various minor procedures, including the removal of cysts, lipomas, moles, and other skin lesions.
