The Intensive Care Unit of Aretaeio Hospital has five beds with full support equipment for intubated patients in a critical condition.
The specialized doctors and the Nurses of the ICU, in collaboration with the doctors of other specialties, offer high quality medical and nursing care to cases of General Pathology, Interventional Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, Cardiac Surgery and Neurosurgery.
The ICU staff is currently comprised of two Intensive Care Specialists, Dr. Costas Filippopoulos and Dr. Irene Schiza, Chief Nursing Officer Mr. Andreas Demetriou and thirteen Nurses.
Every year in our department, we treat approximately 150 patients with a low mortality rate of 10-18% per year.
