The Department of Health and Safety of Aretaeio Hospital is committed to promoting the safety and health of employees, visitors, associates, and others affected by the activities of the Hospital. Ensuring health and safety is a priority for the hospital administration due to the nature of the activities in a difficult working environment such as that of a hospital.
Maintaining the principles of Cypriot Legislation and the strict requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 with which our Hospital has been certified, the inspections and checks are continuous and intensive in order to achieve the goals set by the Administration.
The Department is staffed with a Safety and Health Officer approved by the Labour Inspection Division to work full-time.
At the same time, and along with the Health and Safety Committee of the Hospital, the various issues arising from the activities of the Hospital are analyzed at its Sessions and decisions are made for implementation.
